Akane dyeing

I tie-dyed cotton flannel with Akane (R. tinctorum ). It stained red very well.

Dye liquor was made from roots of Akane. They were boiled about twenty minutes and strained through strainer.

And it turned into some cloth pads. I also sewed the white one made from unstained organic cotton. Akane dyeing suits me and  the feel of organic cotton was pleasant. So I would like to dye organic cotton with Akane next time.
