Katarina sent me the poppana work, a Finnish style of weaving. Her mother made it for me. I love the color and the texture of it. I didn't know much about Finnish crafts, but I thought it's like Sakiori, worn-out clothes in Japan.
And I sent her the Sashiko work. Doing Sashiko is a way to relax for me.

Such beautiful sashiko and weaving! I just wanted to say hello after I stumbled upon your blog while looking for information on Kazakhstan. We hope to visit there soon.
