My family and I visited to put flowers on my grand parent's grave in Aomori, northern Honsyu. It took eight hours by car.

The Onsen is traditional mixed bathing. I came here several times when I was a child, but I haven't took bath here yet.

Oirase stream
It flows down the narrow Oirase Valley from the Towada lake. We hiked by the stream.
I took four days trip to Taiwan with my family. It rained the whole time I was in Taiwan.
The picture is the roof of Lin An-Tai Historical Home. It was built about more than 200 years ago. I love the pattern of the wall.

My family and I went to Izu to relax in a hot spring on the New Year's holidays. We rode on express train. From the train we could see the Pacific Ocean. The weather was very fine.
We stayed a Japanese-style hotel. There are many carps in the pond at the hotel. What is the red part of this photo? I took it with the Holga 120N. Light leak?

My husband and I have been to Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture. The town is famous for ceramics.
We went to Tokoname, known for ceramics too, very often last year because he worked there for planning the landscape of the pottery museum.
But it was the first time to go to Mashiko for us. We got on the Shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Utsunomiya, then went to Mashiko by bus. It took about three hours from our home.
Same as Tokoname, there are many old houses and very big oven for ceramics in Mashiko. I like there. We bought some ceramics, chopsticks and flower pots.

And we went to a bakery in the forest that was renovated a old house. There was also a cafe so we took lunch there. The sandwiches and soup were delicious!
